kathy300Kathy Hayner has two degrees from Montana State University, Bozeman:  a B.S in Technology Education and a Masters in Professional Accountancy.  After graduation and passing the CPA exam, she worked for one of the big four accounting firms, Deloitte and Touche in Portland, Oregon as a large corporate auditor subsequent to joining McGuire and Associates.  Between degrees and prior to her career in accounting, she managed an extensive film library for an internationally renowned underwater cinematographer and developed a comprehensive advertising and marketing campaign resulting in million dollar sales of stock footage. 

Kathy is a native of Montana; she was born and raised south of Livingston in Paradise Valley where her ancestors were early pioneers and started the family cattle ranch where she grew up.  Having worked in all phases of her family enterprises including a commercial trout processing plant, a blue ribbon spring creek and a motel to accommodate those who fished the spring creek, she learned responsibility and a strong work ethic early.

Her background also includes employment in the fields of banking, architecture and public school administration.
